When does the school day begin?
School begins at 8:15 AM Gates open at 7:45 AM 

When does the school day end?
TK-3rd Grades 2:00 PM, 4th-8th Grades 2:20 PM

 

Are students allowed to have cell phones at school?
Yes. According to new state laws, students may have cell telephones however, they cannot disrupt class. Cell telephones must be turned off and put away during school hours. If a student is caught using his/her cell telephone in class, the cell telephone can and will be confiscated by the staff. A parent or guardian will be required to retrieve the student’s cell telephone. Cell phones with cameras are not allowed.

Does this school offer field trips?
Yes, Frank D. Parent offers field trips approved by Inglewood Unified School District. Students are only able to go with a signed permission slip from his/her parent or guardian.

What is the school uniform policy?
Uniforms are mandatory for all Frank D. Parent students everyday. The uniform consists of: navy blue bottoms – slacks, skirts, jumpers, skorts, or shorts, and white, light blue, or dark blue– collared shirts or blouses, closed toes shoes or athletic shoes (no sandals) and socks. 

What is the cost of lunch?
Currently breakfast and lunch are free for all students at Frank D. Parent.

Is Frank D. Parent a year-round school?
No. Frank D. Parent is on the traditional school calendar that begins in August and ends in June.

Does this school acknowledge Cesar Chavez, and Martin Luther King’s birthdays?
Yes, both birthdays are local holidays; there will be no school. Please check the District or School Calendar for the day the holiday will be observed.

When are progress reports issued?
Progress reports are issued every 5-6 weeks between report cards.
